Treatments for the eye area

Introduction to Treatments for the eye area

Due to hereditary and lifestyle factors and owing to the area having thinner skin than the rest of the face, the periorbital (eye) area tends to age faster than other areas. If you have noticed dark circles, puffiness, hollowness and wrinkles there are some treatments that could help you. Consultation is essential to put together the right treatment pan for you which might include some or all of the below:

Tear Trough filler a hyaluronic acid filler is ideal for helping to disguise hollows and darkness under the eyes. For the right patient, tear trough filler has amazing results for improving these issues.

Polynucleotides Eyes is an alternative to tear trough filler and helps decrease lower eyelid puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles and volume loss.  This treatment is safe on all skin types.  It works by stimulating bio-regeneration at multiple layers through the tissues; skin, fat layer and bone. Highly purified polynucleotides (DNA fragments) are injected using a micro-cannula near the eyes. They stimulate the fibroblasts in the cells to produce more collagen and elastin and stem cells are drawn to the area so the body can repair itself.  It's specially designed to improve:

  • puffiness/bag under the eyes
  • periorbital wrinkles
  • regeneration and thickening of the skin
  • bio-stimulation of the tissues
  • improvement in wrinkles with botox or fillers

Usually best as a course of 3 to 4 PN treatments often in conjunction with other treatments. This will be discussed at your consultation.

Light Eyes Ultra is a mesotherapy treatment specially designed for the treatment of the skin around the eyes and eyelids. It contains an innovative cocktail of hyaluronic acid, ruscosides, vitamin c and antioxidants that are able to improve microcirculation, skin elasticity and puffiness and dark circles in the eye area. It is injected via very fine needles into several points around the eyes and then dissipates into the tissue.

Results are usually seen within 24 hours and improve with consecutive treatments within the course.  Your eyes will look brighter, firmer and smoother, giving you a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. The initial course is usually two, but sometimes three or four treatments depending on the condition of your eyes. After an initial course, it is recommended to have top-up treatments every 3-4 months to maintain the results. Ally 2 treatments - sometimes more, two weeks apart. Numbing can be used if needed.
