Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Anti-wrinkle injections commonly known by many as the brand name Botox work by causing the facial muscles to relax, smoothing the appearance of wrinkles that occur naturally with age and help prevent further ageing of the skin. Like all procedures, a pre-treatment consultation is mandatory to assess suitability for treatment.

Anti-wrinkle treatment works by blocking the message between the nerve endings and the muscles in targeted areas. The skin cannot then wrinkle up. The most common areas to treat are the horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines and the crows feet around the eyes.

At There You Glow, I will tailor the treatment to your requirements for a nice, smooth but natural (not frozen) look.

Treatment will last on average about 3-6 months.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid can be used to plump out wrinkles and deep lines that occur with age to help restore a fuller and more youthful complexion. Fillers can be used to restore volume and contour the face, whether it be for beautification or rejuvenation. When injected into the lips they can help restore definition to the lip or just help produce a more hydrated and voluminous look.

Hyaluronic acid is a modified form of a chemical found naturally within the skin that helps to hydrate and retain moisture. When injected into the skin or lips it plumps the area leaving natural-looking, long-lasting results that can be appreciated straight away. At There You Glow Aesthetics I only use non-permanent fillers that can be reversed if required making for a much safer experience.

Only high-quality products that comply with UK safety standards are used. Brands used include Teoxane and Restylane. Each product contains lidocaine to help make the experience as comfortable as possible. Numbing cream is also applied to the skin before the treatment to further ensure client’s comfort. Various techniques are used to create a bespoke treatment for each client using a needle or cannula or a combination of both.

As Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a natural component of the skin, it is naturally metabolised, meaning all forms of HA fillers are temporary, requiring a future top-up. The longevity of results varies depending on the area of the face where fillers are used.

Skin Rejuvenation

At There You Glow clinics I use Teosyal (Teoxane) Redensity 1. This is a moisture-boosting injectable treatment to the whole face. But it can also be used on the neck and décolletage area. Redensity 1 contains hyaluronic acid and three anti-oxidants, eight amino acids, minerals zinc and copper and vitamin B6. It hydrates the skin but also boosts collagen production helping to prevent premature skin ageing and thinning skin while giving a beautiful glow.

Administered to the very surface of the skin using micro-injections, over the course of 1, 2 or 3 treatments (spaced about 3-4 weeks apart). Results are visible immediately but gradually improves over 2-4 weeks. The results last about 2 years, however, you can maintain the effects by having a maintenance session a couple of times a year.

Chemical Peels

Jan Marini Skin research gentle glycolic acid peels will leave your skin looking brighter, clearer, hydrated and smooth. These peels have the benefit of virtually no downtime – it’s rare to have redness or flaking afterwards, so you can resume normal activities after your treatment.

Can be used as a general boost for the skin, resurfacing the skin, giving dramatically softer, smoother texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing scarring.

We can also add accelerators to the peel to tackle:

  • Signs of ageing – wrinkles and lines, stimulates collagen and elastin.
  • Sun damage/hyperpigmentation
  • Rosacea/redness
  • Acne/Acne scars
  • Chemical peel courses will be tailor-made to suit your skin goals.

A thorough skin consultation will take place first to determine your skin issues and goals to put together the best package for you.

The dermal fillers gels I use at There You Glow have lidocaine in them to ensure that clients are more comfortable during and after the treatment. A topical numbing cream is also applied to the area before treatment.

With Anti-wrinkle treatments, numbing cream can be used on request, but it’s generally not required as the injections are very superficial and with a tiny needle.
